1. What information do we collect?

A. Information You Provide to Us

Account Creation: When you create an account or otherwise use the Services, we collect information such as your email address, username/nickname, date of birth, grade level, and an optional profile photo.

Your Communications with Us: We collect information from you such as email address when you request information about our Services, request customer or technical support, or otherwise communicate with us. We also collect the contents of messages or attachments that you may send to us, as well as other information you choose to provide, and that may be associated with your communications.

Payment Information: When you purchase a subscription, your payment is processed directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details. We may receive information associated with your transaction, such as purchase confirmation, transaction amount, and refund records, but payment information is stored and processed by Apple or Google on our behalf. User-Generated Content: When you use our AI-powered learning features, we collect the prompts, inputs, and queries you submit to generate learning content, as well as your interactions with generated materials.

B. Information Collected Automatically

Technical and device information. We collect details about the device you use to access the Services, including your device identifiers (such as UDID and OAID), operating system, language settings, and application installation information.

Location information. We do not collect precise location information (GPS). We may collect general, non-precise location information (such as country or region) derived from your IP address for the purpose of service optimization and compliance with applicable laws.

Audio information. With your consent, we may access your microphone when you use voice-interactive learning features within the Services. Your voice input is processed in real time solely to facilitate your individual learning experience and is not retained after the session ends.

Log and usage data. Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services and which we record in log files. This log data may include your device information, feature usage logs, content interaction data (such as browsing history, bookmarks, and sharing activity), session data (such as session duration, browsing time, and session intervals), advertising identifiers, sensor data, system performance data, and error/crash reports.

De-identified device data. We collect de-identified device data that does not contain unique identifiers for aggregate analytics purposes.

C. Information from Other Sources

We may obtain information about you from other sources, including through third-party services and organizations. For example, if you access our Services through a third-party application, such as Apple or Google sign-in services, we may collect information about you from that third party that you have made available via your privacy settings. We only receive data you authorize through the third-party login process. We do not retain more data than necessary for account authentication and Services provision.

2. How do we process your information?

We do not use any of your information to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Your information may be used only for the purposes described at the time of collection or for purposes described in this notice, including:

Account creation, authentication, and user account management. We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.

Deliver and facilitate the delivery of Services. We may process your information to provide you with the requested Services, including generating personalized learning content based on your inputs and preferences.

AI-powered content generation. We process your input prompts and queries to generate interactive learning webpages, study materials, images, and other educational content through our AI features.

Respond to user inquiries/offer support. We may process your information to respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with the requested Services.

Send administrative information to you. We may process your information to send you details about our products and Services, changes to our terms and policies, and other similar information.

Fulfill and manage your orders. We may process your information to fulfill and manage your subscription purchases, payments, and refunds made through the Services.

Analytics processing. We may use analytic tools to process logs and user behavior data to analyze performance and usage patterns.

Protect our Services. We may process your information as part of our efforts to keep our Services safe and secure, including fraud monitoring and prevention.

AI Service Providers

We share your input prompts and generated output content with AI service providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) solely to deliver the requested AI-powered learning features. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their general AI models or disclosing your data to unaffiliated third parties.

Cloud Infrastructure Provider

We use Alibaba Cloud for data storage and processing infrastructure. Your data is stored on servers located in the United States.

Analytics Providers

We use third-party analytics tools (such as Mixpanel and/or Amplitude) to understand how users interact with our Services and to improve performance and user experience. Information shared with analytics providers is aggregated and used solely for analytics purposes.

App Store Platforms

Payment transactions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We share necessary transaction information with these platforms to facilitate your purchases.

Law Enforcement and Legal Compliance

We may disclose your information when legally required to do so, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other similar event, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Cookies and similar tracking technologies

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit our Services. We also use similar tracking technologies such as mobile identifiers (including UDID and OAID) that function in a comparable manner.

Consent, Duration, and Withdrawal

Where required by applicable law (including the EU/UK GDPR and ePrivacy Directive), we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies. We have implemented a Cookie Banner that provides you with the option to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You may withdraw or update your cookie preferences at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place based on your prior consent.

As part of our Services, we offer products, features, and tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies (collectively, "AI Products"). These tools are designed to enhance your learning experience and provide personalized educational content.

Use of AI technologies

We provide the AI Products through third-party service providers ("AI Service Providers"), including Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), and Seedream (image generation). Your input prompts, generated output content, and relevant personal information will be shared with and processed by these AI Service Providers solely to deliver the requested AI features.

6. User rights and choices

Your Choices

General: You may have the right to object to or opt out of certain uses of your information. Where you have consented to the processing of your information for a specific purpose, you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us. Even if you opt out, we may still collect and use your information for other purposes that were not based on your consent.

Mobile Devices: We may send you push notifications through our App. You may at any time opt out from receiving these types of communications by changing the settings on your mobile device. With your consent, we may also collect precise location information. You may opt out of this collection by changing the settings on your mobile device.

"Do Not Track": Your browser or device may offer you a "Do Not Track" option, which allows you to signal to operators of websites and web applications that you do not wish such operators to track certain of your online activities. We honor legally-recognized browser-based mechanisms (such as the Global Privacy Control designed to signal your opt-out choices under certain state laws).

Right to data portability. You have the right to obtain a machine-readable copy of your personal data processed based on your consent or concluded contract.

Right to restriction of processing. You may ask us to limit our data processing under specific circumstances.

Right to object. You may object to our data processing, including processing for direct marketing purposes.

Right to withdraw consent. Where processing relies on your prior consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. Consent withdrawal shall not affect the lawfulness of processing conducted before withdrawal.

Right to complain. You may lodge a complaint with your local competent data protection supervisory authority.

Right not to be discriminated against. We shall not discriminate against you for exercising your statutory privacy rights.

Right to object to automated decision-making: We currently do not conduct automated decision-making that generates legal or similarly significant adverse impacts on you.

All qualified legitimate requests are responded to free of charge within statutory deadlines; the response period may be lawfully extended under specific conditions.

Unfortunately, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept liability for unauthorized disclosure.

By using the Services or providing information to us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the Services. If we learn of a security system's breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically by posting a notice on the Services, by mail, or by sending an email to you.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to fulfill the purposes laid out in this Privacy Policy, including delivering Services, resolving disputes, establishing legal defenses, conducting audits, fulfilling legitimate business needs, and enforcing contractual terms.

A longer retention period may apply where required or permitted by applicable law (e.g., mandatory tax and accounting recordkeeping that cannot be deleted).

Our primary data center is located in the United States (via Alibaba Cloud). To support global operation and administration, your collected personal information may be transferred to and accessed from jurisdictions outside your country or region of residence. Our development and support team may access your data from other locations as necessary for platform maintenance and support.

For all cross-border data transfers, we adopt legally required protective measures: we execute formal contractual safeguards including EU Standard Contractual Clauses or engage certified cross-border service providers to satisfy statutory compliance requirements. We maintain proper security controls during data transmission to protect your rights set forth under this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

Access to personal data is limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, with role-based access controls in place. Only our designated development team has access to user data, and such access is restricted by role permissions.

10. Minors

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 13 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age and have the capacity to use the Services. Our application includes an age verification feature that collects date of birth to confirm users meet the minimum age requirement.

If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to Privacy Policy

We change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We always indicate the date the last changes were published and we offer access to archived versions for your review. If changes are significant, we'll provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, in-app notification of Privacy Policy changes). Applicable law and venue

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
